ONE°15 Marina Club Celebrates her First Year Anniversary

On Saturday, 27 September 2007, ONE°15 Marina Club – Asia’s finest marina and luxury lifestyle club – marks its First Year Anniversary Celebration in a two-week long of ONE TRUE CELEBRATION where members and their family will be treated to exclusive weekends of festive activities from 27 September – 5 October 2008. Last year, the Club celebrated its Grand Opening with a two-day European showcase of luxury waterfront living  - Festival La Mer.

It’s all about racing, car displays and ‘LIVE’ entertainment to keep members’ spirits high on the weekend when the first night race happens in Singapore. Besides watching the races on big
screen, members get to check out the extreme performance vehicles on display at the club, including a BMW Sauber F1.08 Race Car. Another highlight was special appearance by BMW
formula racer, Chris Wootton who was there to join members in watching the Qualifying Race.

In less than 2 years of membership drive, ONE ̊15 Marina Club’s membership growth has exceeded expectations and closed its membership after reaching a total of 3,850 in 28 December 2007. With membership figures capped at 4,000, the remaining 150 exclusive memberships will be extended only on the Chairman, Mr Arthur Tay’s Invitation.

With Asia quickly emerging as the new lifestyle destination choice for the international jet-set, Mr. Arthur Tay, Chairman of ONE°15 Marina Club said years back that Singapore needed an international lifestyle playground and set out to create one such avenue for the well-heeled global citizens. Today, ONE°15 Marina Club is more than a world-class marina for the world’s
most beautiful super-yachts and mega-yachts. World-class festivities and international events such as the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-09 will be brought close to members for their participation and experience of the luxury waterfront lifestyle.

The Volvo Ocean Race 2008-2009 Singapore Stopover will further strengthen ONE°15 Marina Club’s global image as a world-class venue for marina events and waterfront lifestyle destination. It is also consistent with ONE°15 Marina Club’s vision to host major national and international events for sailors and sailing enthusiasts. Acting as host, ONE°15 Marina Club will also extend the marina, the clubhouse and race management facilities and services to the teams during the stopover. This also means that ONE°15 members are among the privileged to be so close to the race action and the teams. Members will have the opportunity to be close to the sailors and to see for themselves what it takes to be part of a gruelling race.

For the time being, members will get to feel the power and performance of elite racing through the live screening of the first In-Port Race in Alicante on 4 October 2008. Extending the first year anniversary celebration to the following week, members can catch all the sailing action via webcast and enjoy an evening of fine luxury at the club with stylish displays of yachts and a
fashion show by the marina.
