Tennis Ladder Competition

Unlike traditional tennis tournaments that take place on specific dates, a tennis ladder competition is an ongoing event where players can challenge one another at any time. Rankings are dynamic and updated based on match results, allowing participants to move up or down the ladder depending on their performance. Players are ranked by skill level and may challenge opponents ranked above them to climb higher in the standings.

To facilitate the competition, the TennisRungs app will be used to manage match pairings, track rankings, and determine the final winners.

All registration fees are non-refundable, regardless of match participation. This includes instances where a player is unable to play due to injury, scheduling conflicts, personal reasons, etc. Withdrawals must be done one (1) month prior.

Players are responsible for contacting each other to arrange a mutually convenient time for their matches and to book the courts accordingly. This includes coordinating any rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances.

Refer to the TennisRungs ladder competition guidelines. All standard tennis competition rules apply — best of 3 sets (first to 6 games). The 3rd set will be played as a 10-point tie-break.

Players are to log in to the TennisRungs app to report their scores. The app is an easy-to-use dashboard where players can manage matches, view results, report scores, and track progress.

The competition will conclude by 30 November 2025, and winners will have their names engraved on the ONE°15 Tennis Challenge Trophy and receive a personal trophy to take home. They will also be invited to the prize presentation ceremony held during the annual Chinese New Year Members’ Dinner.

Yes, players may withdraw by notifying the Recreation department via email at least one month in advance.
