Dear Members,

Good day!

As we approach the Chinese New Year 2022 and the Year of the Tiger, the ONE15 team would like to wish you and your family a roaring and prosperous year ahead! May this New Year bring plenty of abundance in terms of health, wealth and safety for you and your family.

Prior to reviewing the February happenings and promotions at the Club, we would like to update you on some important notes. They are:

SPORTS CENTRE OPERATIONAL HOURS FOR THE FESTIVE PERIOD ARE: 
31st January 2022 (Monday) – 7.00 AM to 8.00 PM
1st February 2022 (Tuesday) – 7.00 AM to 6.00 PM
2nd February 2022 (Wednesday) – 7.00 AM to 8.00 PM

BRAND NEW SPORTS CAFÉ OPERATOR

We are pleased to announce that O’ Coffee Club – Express will start operations on the Tuesday, the 8th of February 2022 at the Estuari Sports Centre café. A selection of light breakfast food and hearty meals including pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, snacks, pastries and juices will be made available to Members and guests for dine in or take away. Café Operational Hours will be:
MONDAYS: CLOSED
TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, & THURSDAYS: 11.00 AM to 7.00 PM
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, & SUNDAYS: 10.00 AM to 8.00 pm
Recharge and refresh with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or cold-pressed juice between your tennis, swim, badminton, squash or gym sessions. Kids can also enjoy their favorite milkshakes overlooking the pool!

COVID SOPS / ADVANCED BOOKINGS
A gentle reminder to all Members and their guests. The Sports Centre continues to cater to fully vaccinated members and guest strictly on a pre-booking basis, per Government mandated SOPs.

SWIMMING – WAHOO SWIM SCHOOL

Mr. Thomas grew up involved in the world of aquatics during his competitive career spanning 20 years. As a former national team water polo player, Thomas’ love for aquatics and water polo knows no boundaries where for the past 10 years (and counting), he continues to compete in local, regional & international Masters Championships.

Before founding TAD Sports Lab and WAHOO™ Swim School, Thomas was involved in aquatic sports development on a voluntary basis. Thomas believes that in order to improve the quality of aquatic sports in Malaysia, it starts with the right education and a strong mindset for sports. The best strategy is to start with grassroots development, which built upon the motto of the WAHOO™ Swim School which is “Swim Like A Champ”.

WAHOO™ is proud to have produced more than 3000 grassroot swimmers, 400 competitive swimmers, 50 state and 20 national swimmers that have broken more than 30 state and national records in just 4 years! These swimmers are not only able to excel in the pool but more importantly, they display true characteristics of a sportsman in the school too. We are proud to have his swim academy on board with us to further carry the vision and groom future athletes at our very own ONE15 Estuari Sports Centre.

TENNIS – TENNIS TOWN ACADEMY

Coach Zul Airi of Tennis Town Academy is the Senior Pro Tennis Instructor here at the Estuari Sports Centre. With 5 years of coaching experience at Tennis Town, he was mentored by former Davis Cup player Hazli Zainuddin, the current Head Coach of the Malaysian National Team and founder of Tennis Town Academy.

He believes regardless of one’s age or skill level, there is always something new to learn. It is with this mindset that he has helped many students win championships under his guidance. Private, Semi Private and Group Tennis lessons are available for adults and kids.

SQUASH – MULTIBALL SPORT

Mr. Ibrahim Gul is the former National Elite Head Coach of Singapore Squash and is also the owner of Multiball Sports, the Club’s squash and pickle ball academy. Under his tenure, Singapore lifted the title of South East Asian champion and won multiple gold medals at the SEA Games. Mr. Gul has also groomed numerous top ranked junior players both in Singapore and Malaysia.

BADMINTON – M BADMINTON ACADEMY

Xiao Ming is the founder of M Badminton Academy and oversees the management of the academy’s badminton program. Xiao Ming has been coaching for the past 8 years and has held various important coaching roles including head coach of the junior badminton program at SAFRA MT FABER and assistant instructor for Active SG junior classes.

M Badminton Academy provides structured coaching sessions for players of all abilities. Our programs incorporate the Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychological and Social Development of all players.

With the 2022 just around the corner, we wanted to wish you and your family a Happy New Year!  

The beginning of the New Year provides us a chance to make resolutions including those relating to health, physical fitness and well-being. The ONE°15 team stands ready and able to help you and your family reach its sports and fitness related resolutions, be they learning to how swim, play tennis, enjoy the sport of badminton, take up squash, lose a few kilos or gain muscle mass, or improve your stamina, strength and conditioning. Start the year off right with some of our exciting programs, clinics, and classes.

Prior to reviewing the January Club happenings and promotions, we would like to update our members on a couple of important notes. They are:

SPORTS CAFÉ TRANSITION
Please be informed that the Sports café is now temporarily closed and will re-open on the 1st of February 2022 with a new café operator. An announcement on the new café operator will be made in the very near future. In the interim and for your convenience, snacks and beverages will be sold at the Pro Shop. Kindly approach the Front Desk for further assistance.
We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

COVID 19 BOOSTERS / COVID SOPS
A gentle reminder to all Members, the Malaysian government has also announced on the 16th December 2021 with regards to the COVID-19 booster shots available for qualified persons age 60 and above. The Club is following these developments will comply with the vaccination SOPs set forth by the Malaysian government including access/ entrance into the Sports Centre.
The Sports Centre continues to cater to fully vaccinated members and guest strictly on a pre-booking basis only, as per the Government mandated SOPs.

With the Holiday Season upon us, we would like to take this time to extend our everlasting gratitude to our members and thank you for your support through 2021.
May the peace and joy of the Holiday Season be with you and your loved ones throughout the New Year.

For December 2021, the Sports Centre hours of operation will be:
Sunday to Thursday: 7.00 AM – 08.00 PM
Friday & Saturday: 7.00 AM – 10.00 PM

The only exceptions to the above operational hours are:
Christmas Eve (Friday, the 24th of December 2021) 7.00 AM – 8.00 PM
Christmas Day (Saturday, the 25th of December 2021) 10.00 AM – 6.00 PM
New Year’s Eve (Friday, the 31st of December 2021) 7.00 AM – 8.00 PM
New Year’s Day (Saturday, the 1st of January 2021) 10.00 AM – 6.00 PM

DESIGN EXCELLENCE

We are proud to share some excellent news! The Estuari Sports Centre was recently awarded Silver at the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) Awards 2021 for Excellence in Architecture, Sports and Recreation Category in October 2021!

The annual PAM Awards is the premier award for architecture in Malaysia where it recognizes the contribution made by architects in terms of design quality and that of the built environment. It is liken to the Academy Awards of the film industry and in this respect, awards are bestowed on the best works which are recognised by peers and public alike in the architectural industry.

 

WE BUILD CHAMPIONS!

   

We would like to congratulate our Club Members, Audrey and Amanda Teng, on winning the Junior Championship at Silverlake Tennis Malaysia on 28th October 2021.
Under the guidance of Coach Zul from Tennis Town Academy, Audrey and Amanda have strengthen and elevated their game to claim victory in their own respective categories. Congratulations once again to Audrey and Amanda on this incredible achievement! Nations Best in their age group.

Dear Members,

Good afternoon.

As Johor has moved into Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) as of 25th October 2021, ONE°15 Estuari Sports Centre is now set for its continued phase re-opening following the set SOPs and guidelines as mandated by the Government.

Important notes:

  • The Sports Centre will cater to fully vaccinated members and guest strictly on a pre-booking basis only, as per the Government mandated SOPs.
  • Digital Vaccination Certificate through the MySejahtera app will need to be produced by Members and guests prior to entering the Club.
  • Guests are required to provide a valid photo ID to be verified at our registration counter prior to entering.
  • Children ages 17 and below are NOT encouraged to visit the Club, however, provided the children’s parents are fully vaccinated, they will be granted entry and usage of the facilities at their own risk.
  • Locker rooms, changing rooms, saunas and towel service will not be available. Ladies and Gents washroom and shower facilities will be available.
  • Out of an abundance of caution, we will not reinstate the monthly member Satay Saturday events during this month of November.

Dear Members,

Good evening.

We hope this note finds you and your family well. With Johor moving into Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), we want to provide some updates on happenings at the Club.

This Monday, the 4th October 2021 marks our First-Year Anniversary of the Official Opening of ONE°15 Estuari Sports Centre which was officiated by the Guest-of-Honour, Johor Tourism, Youth and Sports Committee Chairman, YB Datuk Onn Hafiz Bin Ghazi. It has been both an interesting and challenging year with the pandemic for the Club and Members alike.

In light of the continued increase in vaccination rates within Malaysia and Johor, we anticipate state borders opening up in the next 30 days and the borders of Singapore opening end of this year or early next year. At that time we will be able to welcome our Singapore based members, as well as members from ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. We expect international travel to recommence shortly thereafter.

We are grateful for the support that our Members and the community have shown us since our opening in October 2020. Here is a video highlight of the official opening day from last year: WATCH HERE

As a token of our appreciation to our Members and to mark our first-year of our operations, please visit the Front Desk during the month of October to receive a small thank you gift from the Club (one per membership).

In other news, per Government-mandated SOPs, the Sports Centre will continue to cater to fully vaccinated members and guests strictly on a pre-booking basis only. Digital Vaccination Certificate through the MySejahtera app will need to be produced by Members and guests prior to entering the Club. Guests are required to provide a valid photo ID to be verified at the registration counter prior to entering. Children 17 and below may visit the Club provided the parents are fully vaccinated.

GUEST POLICIES & FEES

As mentioned in our recent correspondence, the Club implemented a revised guest policy on the 15th of September 2021. Please find the summary below:

  1. Repeat guests are allowed from 15th September 2021 onwards at the Sports Centre. Revised per person guest fees apply.
  2. Guest fees will be charged on a per-person basis rather than a per court basis.
  3. Maximum number of 3 guests will be allowed per membership weekdays (Sunday – Thursday) as well as on weekends (Friday & Saturday). Acceptance of guests remains at the discretion of the Club.
  4. Guests may purchase lessons, clinics and classes, on a per class basis, not packages, when accompanied by the Member.
  5. Standard Club Bye-laws and rules apply, with some important points to note:

– Members need to be current on membership and facilities use payments to invite guests.
– The inviting Member must accompany the guest while on Club premises.
– Guests may not pay directly to the Club. All payments will be posted to the inviting Member’s account.
– Resigned or suspended Members may not visit the Club as a guest.
– Current & Former Employees and third- party coaches are not allowed to come to the Club as a guest of a Member.

  1. Another important change is that day time hours for the tennis, badminton and squash courts have been extended to 5.59 p.m. Meaning Members will not be charged night rates for court rentals until after 6.00 p.m.

The updated guest policy will be on a trial basis for a period of six (6) months and will be reviewed by the Club on 15th March 2022.

Good afternoon.

We have received additional clarification from the Sports Ministry of Malaysia (KBS) today, the 10th of September 2021. The updates are as follows commencing Saturday (11th September 2021).

 

ALLOWED FOR FULLY VACCINATED MEMBERS AND GUESTS:

– Outdoor and Indoor tennis (singles and doubles)
– Badminton (singles and doubles)
– Squash (singles)
– Climbing wall
– Basketball (maximum 10 pax at any given time)
– Swimming pool (maximum 16 pax at any given time)

 

RESTRICTED/NOT ALLOWED AT THIS TIME:

– Fitness centre
– Yoga, Zumba, Spinning, Mix Martial Arts and classes
– Sauna
– Spa
– Locker room and towel service

 

Please be reminded that only fully vaccinated members and guests with proof of MySejahtera digital vaccination certification are allowed to access the Sports Centre by appointment / advanced reservations only, on a first-come-first-served basis. Parents/guardians who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to bring their children under the age of 17 years old to the Sports Centre.

GUEST POLICIES & FEES

The Club recently completed an extensive study of guest policies and guest fees charged at private Golf & Country Clubs and Sports Clubs throughout Malaysia. The study was a result of Member feedback and Member engagement sessions as well as consultations with the Corporate Office and our partners.  We were tasked to find a way to accommodate Members who desired to bring repetitive guests to the Club for tennis, badminton, squash etc. without compromising Member and guest safety, health, wear and tear on Club facilities, and the Clubs’ membership sales endeavours.

 

Kindly find the following revisions below:

OPERATION GUIDELINES

ONE°15 Estuari Sports Centre is set for its phased re-opening from 1st September 2021 onwards for fully vaccinated Members and guests strictly on a pre-booking / advanced reservation basis only. The limited availability of the facilities is due to strict governmental COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines.

Monday to Saturday 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m
Sunday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m

 

Please note the available facilities and important guidelines outlined below:

  • Sports Café – Closed until the 16th of September 2021. Refreshments such as sports drinks, sodas, bottled water, etc. will be available for sale in the Pro Shop.
  • Swimming pool – max capacity of 7 pax at the pool at any given time. Swimmers must remain in their individual lanes. 1 swimmer per lane. No spectators allowed. The swimming pool loungers will not be open for usage.
  • Outdoor tennis courts – max of 2 pax per court only. No spectators allowed.
  • Use of the Fitness Centre, Climbing Wall, Indoor Badminton Courts, Indoor Tennis Courts & Squash Courts, and Basketball are NOT permitted to operate at this time.
  • All group classes are NOT permitted to operate at this time per government SOPs.
  • Lockers, changing, saunas and shower rooms are NOT allowed to open.
  • Towel service will NOT be available.
  • Meetings & social gatherings are not permitted until further notice.
  • Digital Vaccination Certificate through the MySejahtera app will need to be presented by Members and guests prior to entering the Club.
  • Guests will be required to also provide a valid photo ID to be verified at our registration counter prior to entering the Club.
  • Only fully vaccinated Members and Guests with prior booking are allowed on the Sports Centre premises.
