Our Sustainability Commitment
ONE°15 Marina is committed to:
• Reducing the environmental impact of meetings, conferences, exhibitions and social events hosted at our venue.
• Promoting responsible procurement and the use of environmentally preferable products and services.
• Working in partnership with clients and event organisers to minimise waste generation and maximise resource recovery.
• Encouraging the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Donate for event materials wherever practical.
• Supporting the diversion of waste from landfill and incineration through reuse, recycling and responsible disposal.
• Continuously improving our sustainable event practices through stakeholder engagement and regular review.
Working Together with Event Organisers
ONE°15 believes sustainability is a shared responsibility. We will work closely with event organisers during the planning stages to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts.
Where practical, we will encourage organisers to:
• Minimise printed materials through digital communications, QR codes and electronic registration.
• Eliminate unnecessary giveaways and printed promotional materials.
• Rent or reuse event structures, decorations and signage across multiple events.
• Repurpose or donate event materials, furniture, decorations, banners and usable supplies to charities, schools or community organisations whenever feasible.
• Plan food quantities responsibly to minimise food waste.
• Consider sustainable or vegetarian menu options and ask for locally sourced ingredients.
Event Move-in and Move-out Requirements
We will work with relevant parties to support responsible event construction and dismantling practices. Requirements shall be communicated and adhered to by everyone involved in the event, including:
• Event organisers
• Exhibitors
• Exhibitor-appointed contractors
• Freight forwarders
• Local labour and logistics providers
The Move-in and Move-out Policy provides guidance on:
Sustainable Event Construction
• Preference for modular, reusable and durable exhibition structures.
• Avoidance of unnecessary temporary construction materials.
• Selection of materials that can be reused or recycled after the event.
• Minimising the use of virgin materials wherever suitable alternatives exist.
Waste Management Requirements
Participants shall:
• Separate recyclable materials from general waste.
• Remove reusable materials for future use whenever possible.
• Avoid contamination of recycling streams.
• Dispose of waste only in designated collection areas
Waste Objectives
The objectives of the policy are to:
• Reduce waste generated during event build and dismantling.
• Divert reusable and recyclable materials from landfill and incineration.
• Maximise recovery of valuable materials through reuse, recycling or donation.
• Encourage suppliers and contractors to minimise packaging waste.
Pallet Take-back Programme
Where practicable, suppliers and freight forwarders shall remove and take back delivery pallets, crates and transport packaging immediately after unloading or upon event completion for reuse within their own operations.
Sustainable Materials
ONE°15 encourages the use of materials that support the circular economy.
Where practical, event materials should be:
• Reused or designed for multiple events.
• Made from recycled content.
• Recyclable at the end of their useful life.
• Certified by recognised environmental certification schemes where appropriate.
• Manufactured from responsibly sourced timber (e.g. FSC-certified wood or paper).
• Free from unnecessary single-use packaging.
• Durable and repairable instead of disposable.
Preference should be given to:
• Recycled paper or FSC-certified paper products.
• Water-based inks and environmentally preferable printing methods.
• Fabric banners and reusable signage instead of disposable foam boards or PVC materials.
• Reusable exhibition panels and modular display systems.
Single-use Items
ONE°15 aims to minimise the use of single-use items during events. Unless specifically requested by clients or where operational, safety or hygiene requirements apply, we will encourage alternatives to:
• Disposable plastic bottles
• Single-use tableware
• Plastic straws and stirrers
• Disposable decorations
• Single-use promotional materials
• Individually wrapped giveaways where unnecessary
Clients are encouraged to select reusable or compostable alternatives whenever feasible.
Carpeting
Temporary event carpeting generates significant waste. Where practical, ONE°15 will avoid the installation of temporary carpets. Where carpeting is necessary for operational, safety or client requirements, preference will be given to:
• Recycled-content carpets
• Reusable modular carpet tiles
• Carpet suppliers with take-back or recycling programmes
Stationery and Printed Materials
To reduce paper consumption, ONE°15 will:
• Provide notepads with limited sheets for meeting rooms.
• Encourage the use of digital meeting documents and agendas.
• Use digital signages where practical.
• Promote QR codes instead of printed brochures where practical.
• Print only when necessary and use double-sided printing by default.
Food and Beverage
As a caterer, ONE°15 will encourage:
• Accurate attendance forecasting to minimise food waste.
• Using locally sourced ingredients where feasible.
• Appropriate portion sizing.
• Reduction of single-use condiment packaging.
• Explore opportunities to donate surplus edible food where regulations and food safety requirements permit.
Recycling Facilities
ONE°15 will provide clearly identified waste segregation points where practical for:

Event organisers are encouraged to communicate recycling arrangements to exhibitors and attendees.
Communication and Awareness
ONE°15 will promote sustainable event practices by:
• Sharing this Sustainability Policy with event organisers during the planning stage.
• Encouraging exhibitors and contractors to comply with venue sustainability requirements.
• Providing guidance on waste reduction and responsible material selection.
• Collaborating with clients to identify opportunities for continual improvement.
