The Singapore Yachting Festival 2024
The Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) 2024 has concluded on a high note. The festival ran from 25 to 28 April and boasted a dazzling display of yacht premieres, networking events and yacht parties. With over 11,500 visitors, 100 brands and 70 boats, SYF 2024 was a grand culmination of luxury, innovation, and celebration within the yachting industry.
ICOMIA Boating Industry Conference 2024
In conjunction with the SYF, ONE°15 Events Management partnered with ICOMIA and Singapore Boating Industry Association to organise the ICOMIA Boating Industry Conference 2024, where industry leaders converged to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and challenges shaping the global boating industry. This conference served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and fostering collaborations that drive the industry forward.
Welcome Address by Mr Arthur Tay at the ICOMIA Boating Industry Conference
Mr Arthur Tay, CEO and Executive Director of SUTL Enterprise, delivered a welcome speech in which he highlighted our collective response to the demand for change. He expressed satisfaction at witnessing a significant shift in the luxury yacht market towards embracing eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient technologies, and strategies for waste reduction.

Keynote speaker Darren Vaux started the conference by giving an overview of ICOMIA’s study on “Pathways to Propulsion – Decarbonisation in the Recreational Marine Industry.” Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, was the Guest of Honour for the conference and he shared on the ongoing advances in Singapore’s marine industry.
Subsequent sessions comprised presentations and panel discussions addressing research and technological advancements spanning various facets of the industry. Additionally, they aimed to delve into strategies for implementing sustainable business practices tailored to address the distinct challenges posed by the burgeoning markets in Asia.

On the afternoon of 25th April, the Singapore Yachting Festival 2024 officially began with the Opening Ceremony. A lion dance and ribbon-cutting ceremony commenced the Festival and our VIPs were brought on a tour around the festival ground.
An Impressive Display of Yachts
Amongst the 70 yachts displayed, each one was a testament to the elegance and sophistication of the yachting world. The Festival presented a diverse lineup of vessels, ranging from sustainable fuel-compatible and solar panel-powered electric motors yachts, to hydrofoil crafts and boats with energy-efficient designs. Notable debuts included the world premiere of the HH88 Catamaran and the premieres of 19 yachts across Asia-Pacific, Southeast Asia, and Singapore. This rich variety of yachts and innovation on display underscored the Festival’s commitment to making SYF an immersive and inclusive experience.

Besides the yacht premieres, the festival also boasted other noteworthy yachts. A first in the Singapore Yachting Festival, a hovermarine craft was on display in the water. The AirFish 8 from ST Engineering redefines coastal transport and logistics. The craft seats 10 passengers including crew.

The largest yacht at the festival was M/Y GALILEO, an impressive 55.7m superyacht build by Perini Navi and brought in by IYC Yachts. M/Y GALILEO is also number 668 in the world rankings for largest yachts.

Second largest at the festival was M/Y SILENTWORLD, measuring 40m and was recently refitted in 2023. She was brought in by ISEO Yachting and is available for charter in Asia.

A boat that can’t be missed is Fu Ning, the largest Chinese junk boat in the world. Managed by Discover Sailing Asia, this unique vessel caught the attention of many at the festival.

The Candela C-8, showcased at the Sentosa Cove Promenade, boasts cutting-edge electric hydrofoil technology. Due to its efficient design, it is the first electric boat to combine a long range with high performance.

Leopard Catamarans brought their fleet of 5 catamarans – the Leopard 42, 50, 40PC, 46PC and 53PC. Lined up beside each other, it was a spectacular sight.

Simpson Marine celebrated their 40th anniversary at the Festival by presenting a remarkable fleet of six yachts, including Asia Premieres of the latest models ranging from 40 to 120ft from renowned builders such as Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, and Fairline.

Azimut launched the Asia debut of its award-winning Magellano 60 at the SYF. Magellano 60 is synonymous with reduced emissions, because she is the first boat in the Azimut fleet to run on Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, the biofuel produced with 100% renewable raw materials.

Activities Abound at SYF
The Festival also showcased an array of water toys, including the exhilarating Seabob, which added an extra dimension of excitement to the event. Guests could partake in RHIB (Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat) rides, experiencing the thrill of speed and agility on the water. There were also supercar parades that brought an air of excitement in the crowd. Aston Martin, one of the sponsors for SYF, displayed their latest cars, the DB12 and DBX707 at the festival.

Festival and Beyond
Entertainment was in abundance at the Festival, with roving live percussionists creating captivating rhythms that harmonized with the gentle lapping of waves. Roving stilt walkers added a touch of whimsy and spectacle, enchanting attendees as they navigated the festival grounds. On land, the carnival games brought some fun to the family, together with the F&B stalls as everyone indulged in their offerings.

As the sun sets, a live DJ, Chloe, took the stage at Boaters’ Bar and brought the festivities and atmosphere to a high. Many were seen grooving to the tunes when they entered the festival grounds.

ONE°15 Members Hospitality Suite
Located at innerCove, the ONE°15 Members Hospitality Suite offered events that our Members could take part in. Our Members had the chance to experience making their own diffusers with Candles of Light, as well as to participate in private wine tasting sessions organised by 67 Pall Mall.
On 26 April, Members were treated to a Car Scent Diffuser Bar, where they got to customise their own aromatherapy car scent. 28 April saw the diffuser bar transforming to a reed diffuser bar. Members got to choose from a selection of 6 – 8 customised botanical scents.

Members of ONE°15 Marina and 67 Pall Mall were also treated to private wine tasting sessions hosted by 67 Pall Mall, titled “A Maritime Wine Tasting with Richard Hemming MW”. At the sessions, Members tasted a variety of 5 wines, the NV Taittinger Brut Réserve, 2021 Nanclares y Prieto, Dandelion, Albariño, 2021 Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Chardonnay, 2016 Folium, Pinot Noir and 2019 Château Le Puy, Cuvée Emilien. A selection of nibbles accompanied the wines, all while Master of Wine Richard Hemming brought them through the origins of the wines, their taste profiles and nuances.
