Dr Ren Lim

Having spent his entire childhood on the island of Pulau Bukom, Ren started taking underwater photographs from the age of 10 and has been doing it since. Having fallen in love with the ocean and its animals at a young age, he pursued his career as a dive instructor, marine biologist and veterinarian, later completing his further studies in conservation medicine. He believes in using photography as a way of expression and sharing the beauty of nature’s amazing creations. Currently, he works as the Director of Innovation at the Singapore Oceanarium.

Mr William Tan

William Tan has been fascinated with the creatures of the sea since childhood. While studying at Johns Hopkins University, much of his spare time was spent gazing at the extensive marine collection of the nearby National Aquarium in Baltimore.

A violinist with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, William earned his scuba diving certification in 1994. Thereafter, without his prized antique Italian violin, he travels extensively between concert seasons throughout the Asia Pacific region, photographing marine life for scientific institutions, camera and housing manufacturers, tourism organisations, dive magazines and resorts.

William is the Asia Dive Expo’s Ambassador for Underwater (Macro) Photography. He works closely with Canon Singapore, and is appointed as Canon’s inaugural EOS Master. William is also generously sponsored by Fourth Element Equipment for Adventure, Fun-In Underwater Photo Equipment, Nauticam International Limited, RGBlue, and Scubalamp Underwater Photography Equipment.
