ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove sails into the new year with Superyacht Ready Accreditation – First in Asia

Jan 4, 2023

SINGAPORE, 4 JAN 2023ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove Singapore has been accredited Superyacht Ready by Marina Industries Association (MIA). We are honoured to be one of the first seven marinas globally and the first in Asia to receive this. This accreditation reaffirms ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove’s position as Asia’s finest marina while being able to accommodate to specialised needs of superyachts.

The Superyacht Ready criteria is based on the marina’s infrastructure to accommodate superyachts, and for its accessibility, security measures and service availability. It is only available to Global Gold Anchor accredited marinas that satisfy the program’s assessment standards.

Quoting Suzanne Davies, MIA CEO, she said, “It was great to see such enthusiasm and support from industry for the accreditation. To have seven marinas submit their applications within days of the release shows the value industry sees in the Gold Anchor and Superyacht Ready accreditations. We have also had interest from a number of international marinas and it is great that ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore has been accredited.”

With a total of 33 Superyacht berths, this Platinum Gold Anchor marina with a Level 4 clean marina also offers top-notched facilities such as a clubhouse with dining establishments, amongst other luxury amenities.

In 2021, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove Singapore completed a S$7 million marina reconfiguration project to accommodate bigger yachts. The marina has a channel with a minimum depth of 4.5 metres and can fit yachts up to 220ft. The superyacht berths were also relocated to the front of the Clubhouse, adding convenience and accessibility for boaters.

On the reconfiguration project, Mr Arthur Tay, CEO of SUTL Enterprise said, “ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove is well on its way to becoming the number one superyacht pit stop in the region. One of the main objectives of the reconfiguration was to cater for the projected trend of increasing yacht sizes by significantly extending our marina’s berthing flexibility within the region. Whilst keeping the number of berths the same, we have managed to increase the number of superyacht berths (80ft and above) from 15 to 33 by eliminating smaller berths.”

Besides attaining the Platinum Gold Anchor and Superyacht Ready accreditation, the marina is also accredited as an International Clean Marina for its commitment to the environment with eco-initiatives such as stamping out single-use plastics, hosting annual marina clean ups, and setting up the ONE°15 Coral Garden.
