ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove to lure superyachts with S$7 million makeover

ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove to lure superyachts with S$7 million makeover

Oct 5, 2021

SINGAPORE – 1 March 2021ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove Singapore, a FIVE Gold Anchor marina and eight-time winner of Best Asian Marina Award, has completed its S$7 million marina reconfiguration project to entrench its position as the marina of choice for pleasure crafts and superyachts.

The marina now boasts a new channel with a minimum depth of 4.5 metres and is able to accommodate yachts of up to 220ft. Within the expanded layout with increased linear footage, all new and relocated superyacht berths have been strategically located at the front of the Clubhouse, adding yet another level of convenience and accessibility for boaters.

With the enhanced marina configuration and facilities, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove continues to set the product and service quality benchmark for the ONE°15 Marina brand around the globe. Members will now be able to enjoy new state-of-the-art service pedestals made of marine-grade anodised aluminium by Rolec Services in the United Kingdom; brand-new pontoons designed in Singapore and manufactured in France; and features that include fuel management mobile application, remote meter reading and automated billing services.

“ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove is well on its way to becoming the number one superyacht pit stop in the region. One of the main objectives of the reconfiguration was to cater for the projected trend of increasing yacht sizes by significantly extending our marina’s berthing flexibility within the region. Whilst keeping the number of berths the same, we have managed to increase the number of superyacht berths (80ft and above) from 15 to 33 by eliminating smaller berths,” said Mr Arthur Tay, CEO of SUTL Enterprise, which owns the ONE°15 Marina brand.

Since June 2019, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove has provided boaters with unparalleled ease of port clearance with a Customs, Immigration, Quarantine (CIQ) facility within its premises. It was the first private marina in Singapore to offer vessels the convenience of being able to obtain customs clearance at their berth point, without having to sail to the Sisters’ Islands for clearance like before.

In addition to a 24-hour mooring service, yacht owners can also enjoy peace of mind when they berth their vessels at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, as the marina’s on-site security measures include round-the-clock security guards, CCTV surveillance, and card-only entrance access.

Among ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove’s extensive range of services and amenities are an efficient buggy service to get boaters to and from the Clubhouse, a waste pump-out system, convenient shower and laundry facilities, as well as high-speed Wi-Fi connection. Boaters are also granted access to the marina’s recreational facilities such as gym, tennis courts and infinity pool, as well as the many restaurants and bars at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. ONE°15 Marina seeks to be the industry leader not just in infrastructure and management, but also in sustainability and eco-efforts. ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove is a certified Level 4 Clean Marina and Fish Friendly Marina. Its clean water presents a pleasant environment for both boaters and marine creatures alike. The water condition has made it possible for the marina to be home to a man-made coral garden that serves as a research site for coral restoration and comprises six nurseries where new and lesser-seen corals are bred. Besides a coral garden, the marina has a water filtration programme known as Project Perna, where strings of mussels are bred to serve as filter feeders to remove pollutants from semi-enclosed water and providing a source of food for marine life.

“Our previous marina infrastructure had been pushed way beyond its original design parameters, given the trend of increasing yacht sizes and minimum power requirements over the past ten years. With the marina experiencing close to full occupancy all year round, the reconfiguration project has been a challenging feat to pull off – and yet a necessary one for us to provide greater convenience to our existing customers and keep up with market demands.  Yacht charters have gained popularity in recent years with greater interest and awareness among those looking for alternative lifestyle options and we hope to capitalize on this growing trend,” added Mr Tay.
